Students will get practice in oral reading fluency and public speaking through reading scripts with friends! These scripts also provide an opportunity for group interaction and student cooperation. 3rd grade reading level or above is best.

Description

Class Experience

Grab your microphone and join me in the reader's theater! In this ongoing class, students will have fun as we practice our oral reading fluency and public speaking through reading scripts with friends. Reader's theater is a great way to engage learners and to help learners increase their confidence and reading fluency. These scripts also provide an opportunity for group interaction and student cooperation.

Readers Theater will give learners the opportunity to: 
Practice oral reading fluency...

Students will increase their reading fluency through performing and participating in a readers theater.

Optional: Record yourself reading the script after class and upload it to the classroom for additional feedback.

Printed script (optional) 
Dry erase board/marker

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
