Class experience
This is a great course for students who are new to acting and like to read! Students will learn how to use expression and characterization to perform Reader's Theater versions of classic adventure tales. Reader's Theater has the added benefit of increasing both reading fluency and comprehension. No memorization is required. Class Outline: Each class will begin with vocal warmups. 1. Students will learn about the process of Reader's Theater. 2. Students will learn how to create different character voices through pitch, rate, inflection, and expression. 3. Students will learn how to create an interesting and believable environment for a listening audience. 4. Students are encouraged not to worry about small mistakes and just keep going.
