In this class students will develop one of the skills needed for a deeper understanding of what they are reading. Your student will learn how to visualize while reading. As your child advances through school, using visualization will help them gain the critical thinking skills necessary to be successful when reading materials for various purposes. Students will feel confident and understand the importance of visualizing while they are reading.
There will be no homework assigned. However, by practicing what they learned in class, students will become more proficient and confident applying these skills.
Please bring a notebook, pencil, eraser, post it notes and colored pencils or markers to class.
Progress toward goal will be assessed through informal check out at the end of class.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
