Read-To-Me & Coloring Class! for Ages 4-7

This is a great class for morning work OR a reading class near bed time. It provides a much needed brain break and dose of dopamine by connecting with peers, coloring a fun picture, laughing and hearing a wonderful story. You can choose a morning class or night time class. Please make requests and I will try my best to accommodate if you don’t see a time that works for you, thanks! ☺️ 

Hi! Welcome to my classroom. This is a fun, interactive story-time and coloring classroom that takes place over the course of 10 weeks. Reading to a preschooler has so many benefits! 📚✨ Here’s why it’s amazing for them:

Boosts Language Skills 🗣️🧠 – They learn new words, sentence structures, and how language works.

Builds Pre-Reading Skills 🔤👀 – Helps them recognize letters, sounds, and the flow of a story.

Strengthens Cognitive Development 🤔💡 – Improves memory, problem-solving, and concentration.

Encourages a Love of Reading ❤️📖 – Makes books fun and engaging, setting the stage for lifelong learning.

Enhances Emotional & Social Development 😊🤝 – Helps them understand emotions, relationships, and empathy.

Improves Listening Skills 👂🎶 – They learn to focus and follow along with a story.

Each class will include a book reading and discussion.  The teacher will supply printable coloring pages pertaining to the book for the student to color while listening. Coloring is a great way to keep little ones seated and focused enough to enjoy a story. Please feel free to bring your own coloring book to class if you do not have a printer. 

We will talk a little about what a library is, and why they are such awesome places to visit. Then I will show the kids our new book from the library. We will talk about what an author and illustrator is, and how a book comes from someone's imagination. We will then share a little wave hello to all our new friends before beginning our books. It will be loads of fun, and you should watch out for my sneaky dog Annie. She likes to show up in costume sometimes!
