Read to Grow Tutoring, Ages 8-10

This individualized tutoring session will support students who need extra practice with reading as well as enhance reading comprehension skills.

Each week students will gain experience reading a range of text genres and acquire the strategies used by good readers.

Class Agenda: 
🌟	Students will pick a text—based on      
        student interest—to read. 
🌟	Students will actively read the text    
        with teacher support, learn a reading  
        strategy modeled by the teacher,  
        and practice using the strategy with 
        teacher guidance as well as   
        independently.
🌟	While reading, students will answer 
        guided comprehension questions 
        and learn new vocabulary words.
🌟	After reading, students will 
        take a short assessment and 
        participate in a discussion about the 
        text. 


Information will come from:
•	A digital library text 
•	The daily activity worksheet or study 
        aid.
•	Class discussion


Students will demonstrate active participation through discussions, asking questions, and providing examples of content area information. 

Clarification or assistance will be provided as needed as well as the ascertainment that all learners remain on-task.
