Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their reading fluency and comprehension skills.
I am a licensed elementary teacher with my Master's Degree in Literacy. I have many years of classroom teaching experience using methods that we will be using in class.
Students can practice re-reading passages at home. Students are also encouraged to practice the reading skills we work on in class when they are reading at home as well. But no official homework will be given.
-Class passages/questions to be printed will be posted weekly on the classroom page (if a printer isn't accessible, you may follow along on screen with the teacher) -crayons/markers/pencil -If you don't have access to a printer, paper/pencil should be brought to class. -Optional-each class will relate around the story's topic and students can bring along an item from home to share with the class (for example: favorite toy, favorite food, etc.). Topics will be posted in the classroom at the beginning of each week.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parent support (off-camera) may be needed to support beginning readers and/or with writing.
