Read-In and Play-In With Teacher Cindy and Friends is a 45-minute, small group read-aloud class. This ongoing course will allow your child to develop friendships through regular book discussions and body break activities.

Is your child ready to participate in a small reading group? If so, you've come to the right place. Read-In and Play-In with Teacher Cindy and Friends is a 45-minute small group read-aloud class. Each class will be learner-directed; where students can choose from a selection of age-appropriate books to read and discuss from my online library. Students will not need to bring any materials to our class, but they are strongly encouraged to take part in our literacy routines and have fun. There is no pressure to be the best reader or have the most ideas. The goal is for your child to enjoy the reading process. I believe that keeping a constant schedule will massively improve his/her/their ability to listen, read and communicate effectively. In addition to reading, students will have the opportunity to take body breaks to reset. Some activities may include: Find a Star, Simon Says, Scavenger Hunt and dancing. The goal here is to keep student attention high and decrease stress while moving and laughing. You will be hearing lots of laughter! I am a compassionate and professional teacher with one ultimate goal for your child. I hope your child logs off from each class feeling confident, happy and satisfied with his/her/their reading time with me and other students in class. I highly advise that students are in a safe environment free of potential hazards for this lesson. They will need an open workout space, proper footwear or barefoot on the carpet, a water bottle and adequate stretching as we will be doing some movement activities throughout this lesson.

"Read-In With Teacher Cindy" has been highly successful since August 2021. All my students are regular students. Some students read with me once a week, twice a week or even three times a week.
