Read, Draw and Speak Two- French Vocabulary
In this once a week on-going course, creative learners will enjoy drawing and colouring while working on reading comprehension and building their French vocabulary.

Beginner Level
During this series of fun and interactive lessons, children will learn the French language through drawing, games and conversations. Ms. Colleen is a bilingual (French and English) teacher who has been sharing fun language lessons with children for many years. Her patient and calm teaching style helps children who are new to foreign language learning feel confident and at ease. No prior experience with French is necessary. Each week learners will practice reading and speaking French. We will go slowly and make sure each concept is grasped by the learners. The small class size of each session ensures individual attention for each learner. Printed materials and/or online games will be provided each week to help reinforce what is learned in class. This is not a French Immersion class. Instruction is mostly given in English , but learners are encouraged to speak French as much as they can. Worksheets and vocabulary lists will be provided before each class. Week 1 June 4, 2025 Summer- l'été Week 2 June 11, 2025 Insects- les insectes Week 3 June 18, 2025 Flowers- les fleurs June 25, 2025 Week 4 July 2, 2025 Self Portrait - Le Visage et Le Corps Learners will draw a detailed face and a body while learning the French words for the parts of the body. Week 5 July 9, 2025 Weather- le temps Learners will learn the words for a variety of common pets and will draw and speak about their favourite pet. Week 6 July 16, 2025 The Ocean- L'Océan Learners will draw under water objects as well as ocean life and will talk about their drawings.
Learning Goals
Learners will gain an understanding of French vocabulary words in context while improving their drawing skills an having fun.

Supply List
Learners will need a pencil and eraser, white paper , and colouring pencils. Access to a printer is also recommended.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
