Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
I am a homeschooling mom of 5. My kids are ages 9-18 and have been homeschooled for over 5 years now. Additionally, I have been a teacher, both online and in-person, for many years, including 3 years as an ESL teacher and 2 years as a teacher in a multilingual charter school. I have an AA in General Studies and a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Psychology.
Students are asked to read a book of their choosing, within the given genre, each week.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Learners are reading books of their own choosing. It is up to parents to determine what is appropriate content for their child to be reading. Within the classroom, I will be monitoring the discussion to ensure that it is appropriate for all learners.
