US Grade 9 - 12
First we’ll talk about Jane Austen and the time she lived in. I’ll have a powerpoint presentation we’ll go through. After that I’ll start reading one of Jane Austen’s letters to her sister, Cassandra, and then students are invited to join a discussion of the letter. We’ll also talk about any words that might be new to the students.
Learning Goals
By the end of this class students will be able to have a better understanding of Jane Austen and the time she lived in.
Students will also learn some new vocabulary.

Supply List
Jane Austen's Letters are in the public domain and can be downloaded from Gutenberg or borrowed from the local library (if they have it). It'd be great if students have a copy of the book, but it's not necessary.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
