In this single course class, have your child cozy up with a blanket while I read "A Rock is Lively" by Dianna Hutts Aston to them. "A rock is lively bubbling like a pot of soup deep beneath the earth's crust...liquid...molten...boiling..." "A rock is mixed up...galactic...old...surprising...inventive..." and so much more. After story time, we will watch a video clip from Hopscotch about how rocks are formed. Then, we will create a diagram of the rock cycle and discuss favorite rocks the student has discovered. (PDFs provided before class begins).

Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level. My Bachelors is in childhood education with a Master's in American History.
