In this one time class, we will compare Fiction (Make Believe) and Nonfiction (Real) books with a Farm theme.
Class experience
Children greatly benefit from reading both fiction and nonfiction books. In this class, first we will talk about the characteristics of each type of book. Next, I will read two books about Farms: Duck on a Bike by David Shannon and Scholastic Reader Farm Animals by Wade Cooper. We will then have a discussion about which type of book each of these is. We will also have an opportunity to talk about Farm animals. Students will have the opportunity to share but participation in conversation...
