Children will learn that animals can be put into groups depending on certain characteristics that they share. They will learn what characteristics reptiles have in common. (Some children will have a prior knowledge of this and will be invited to share their knowledge before we move on further). We will learn that as well as having certain features in common, reptiles come in many different shapes and sizes and have different ways of surviving. We will look at a simple classification key to...
Understand what a reptile is. Understand the features they share and look at ways in which they differ. Learn to use a simple classification key to understand how a scientist groups animals.
No homework, but a worksheet will be uploaded for you to use at your leisure if you wish.
No supplies are needed. If you have any interesting reptile facts or any reptile toys you'd like to share with us, please have them ready.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
