In this one time class, students will be learning all about 10 of the rarest dog breeds in the world. They will learn all about their size, traits, needs, dispositions, and more. This is the second of two classes that teaches about rare dog breeds. The breeds that we will be discussing are: Stabyhoun, Carolina Dog, New Guinea Singing Dog, Catalburun, Fila Brasileiro, Telomian, Lagotto Romagnolo, Azawakh, Karelian Bear Dog, and Chinook. To begin, students will have the chance to introduce themselves. Then they can share their pet or share what their favorite dog breed is. Following this, we will begin to review each of the ten largest dog breeds along with their size, what their typical disposition is, what their needs are, how easily trainable they are, and their various other traits. I will be using a Prezi presentation with beautiful pictures and lots of information. The students will have opportunities to have discussions and answer questions throughout this interactive lesson.
