In this multi-day course will learn the importance of kindness while also learning age appropriate social skills. As a BCBA I try to incorporate the following social skills into all my lessons: not interrupting, raising hands, eye contact, taking turns and team work. I believe the best way for children to learn is to be engaged and have fun while feeling safe. Therefore, this class is highly interactive using video clips, question and answer discussions, slides short stories! Our classes will...

I have over ten years working as a teacher and behavior analyst. I have taken courses as well as trainings To redirect and appropriately handle anything sensitive in nature a student may mention. However, this class will not deal with any sensitive material.
The only homework in this class is to practice what you learn !
1. Learners can bring a writing utensil and notebook
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There is no assessment but if parents request they can receive feedback based on the learner's participation.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will not discuss any inappropriate content or sensitive material. As a BCBA and a teacher I know children at times mention things in their own. I will redirect this or address it in an age appropriate manner as I would in a non- virtual classroom.
There are no outside sources required but I will recommend resources at the end of class with links for students that I feel they may be interested in :)
