US Grade 4 - 7
In this one-time class for all ages, young bunny owners -- or those interested in bunny ownership -- will learn some science about rabbits and some of the basics of rabbit care, including showing, breeding, feeding, etc. There will be an on-screen demonstration showing several different breeds -- and nail clipping (if requested) -- as well as a Q & A during the last part of the class. Students will be provided extra enrichment about topics covered on the classroom page after the class meets, including printouts and websites to visit for more information. The classroom page will remain open to allow students to ask more questions or post pictures of their pet bunnies. This class may be rescheduled or cancelled if minimum enrollment is not reached. I will contact parents ahead of time prior to cancelling or moving students to a new section. Always keep an eye on your messages, and feel free to message me with any concerns.
Learning Goals
This class is designed for students with or without pet rabbits who want to know a little more about showing and breeding them. (The age range is suggested but not required. Students outside the range are welcome.) It may involve talking about breeds of rabbits and how to look for show-quality aspects of rabbits. We also will talk about other activities that the students can do with their rabbits, such as 4-H clubs and rabbit hopping.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been raising rabbits for nearly 40 years. I was a part of the FFA during high school and kept rabbits as my project animal. My children were part of our county's 4-H rabbit club. We got the "showing bug" and have spent the last 10 years showing rabbits. I also have taken a rabbit demonstration (dubbed "The Bunny Bus") to schools and libraries to teach children the basics of rabbits and rabbit care. I teach another Outschool rabbit info class, aimed at younger students. I reserve the right to combine students into one section to reach minimum enrollment numbers. Parents are always contacted first.
