What's included
3 live meetings
1 hrs 30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this 3 day class we will listen to rainbow-themed books and have fun with STEAM activities. Learners will utilize their fine motor skills to build a rainbow, use prediction, observation, and math to watch Skittles candy melt, and hone in on their inner artist to create a rainbow collage. I will begin each session with introductions followed by a fun song, poem, or joke about rainbows. We will settle in for our rainbow story. During our story I will facilitate discussion about the characters, setting, and ask prediction and recall questions. Following our story will be our activity. The activities will create a lot of discussion on color, patterns, and counting. We will end each session with another rainbow song or poem. **This section will be cancelled 24 hrs prior to the start if there are not enough enrollments

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, I'm Ms. Lisa! I'm so happy to be teaching on Outschool. I have been working with kids for most of my life. I'll be 40 this year, so you do the math.
I love to see children glow when learning. It makes my teacher heart just explode with pride! Part of my teaching philosophy is that children (well everyone really) learns best and retains information the longest when they are having fun doing something they enjoy. My intention is to create a class experience they will enjoy and remember along with learning about a topic they are just as passionate about as I am.
I have experience teaching at all levels. I taught M.S. English, Pre-K, and have experience in all elementary grades. I have a MA in Curriculum & Instruction, an Endorsement in Early Childhood Edu, a BA in Elementary Edu, and AA in Early Childhood Edu.
I feel most energized and fulfilled when I have been creating something . So some of my hobbies are crafting, cooking and baking. I also have a passion for writing. I live in the country where we raise a variety of animals. We also have 2 horses who I enjoy riding in my free time. I have 3 kids- an 11 years old boy, an 8 year old girl, and a 5 year old girl.
With my experience at all levels and my interests, you will see a variety of classes including, but limited to PK and lower elementary full curriculum circle times, story time with activities, writing, STEAM, and crafts with social time, reading groups, and writing classes. I also hope to include the animals on my farm in some of my classes.
Please check out my classes. If you are interested in classes taught by me, but do not see one that interests you, please message me with a special class request. I am more than willing to create new classes to suit you. Same goes with class times. If you do not see a time that suits your schedule, let me know a time that does work for you. It might be possible for me to adjust my schedule to accommodate your schedule.
