Class Experience

Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room where it is always a good day when you are learning something new.

In this one-time class, kids will learn to draw a teddy bear with very easy step-by-step instructions and of course, since I believe in the demonstration, they will see me drawing with them.

Most importantly, they are going to do it by learning a new skill called 'Symmetrical drawing'. Learning a little bit of an Art theory is beneficial to their Art skills. Symmetrical drawing is a very helpful way to draw anything simply. I will explain the concept of symmetrical drawing and will show some examples and then we will draw our teddy bear in the same way.

We are going to draw lots of circles and lines and that's good practice for hand and eye coordination. It's easy to draw many circles but not easy to draw the same-sized circles in one line.

While coloring our artwork I will show them how to give a 3D effect to the POP It circles.
So, the students will:
1 . Draw a cute and easy step-by-step teddy bear
2. Learn symmetrical drawing which is Art Theory
3 . Learn how to give a 3D effect to the drawing through coloring
4. Practice hand coordination by drawing multiple identical circles and lines
5. Have good practice for the right and left brain at the same time through Symmetrical drawing

I will engage each student multiple times to show off their artwork during the draw-along, They can talk all about their Pop-Its, ask questions and be creative with their drawing. I can't wait to see your child in class!
Learning Goals
Students will improve hand and eye coordination, learn a new technique of drawing, and develop cool coloring skills.

Hello and Welcome Outschoolars! I’m Mrs.D. ! I appreciate you considering me to be a part of your young artist's art journey!

I teach various art classes that involve color theories, color wheels, and color schemes that work together to create human figures, landscaping, and canvas painting with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. I love to teach different styles and techniques of art using Art Theory.

I am an artist by profession. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I have participated in many art exhibitions in my public art center and library and taught art, crafts, and card making in elementary schools and Girl Scouts as a volunteer. I love to share art with my community.

I have been teaching 1:1 art classes online and in person for the last 5 years to ages 4 to 14 years. I have instructed children online all around the world, and continue to teach local classes and workshops in my community. I am so happy to continue what I am doing on a bigger and better platform from the comfort of my home.

I like to teach Art Theory in most of my projects so kids will learn multiple things without even realizing it. I believe all students can learn, and art is the best way to express yourself and your feelings in your unique way.

Art helps to improve hand and eye coordination. It also helps to grow your concentration and patience. Sometimes young minds can't express themselves through talking, but through drawing. I love connecting with students through art and helping them grow, laugh, and have some fun!

Class Expectation: Everyone works at different speeds. If the child is not finished with the piece by the end of class, they can finish the remaining picture at home and post it in the classroom.

Join me on this incredible adventure to take your child’s passion to the next level.

Thank you for visiting my profile! I’m looking forward to being a part of your child's art journey, growth, and success; can’t wait to see you in class!
