In this ongoing middle grade book club, we will meet twice a month to discuss books with LGBTQ+ characters. Each class will focus on a different book.

Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will read and discuss middle grade books with LGBTQ+ characters
Miss Roxy is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and has been teaching middle grade students for 10 years. She is an active in LGBTQ+ community in her city and works hard to stay informed and current on topics relating to the community.
Students will read 2 books a month.
Learners will need their own copies of the books being discuss.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
All of these books have been read by the teacher and evaluated for use in this class. All books are written specifically for middle grade readers. However, please take a look at book summaries ahead of class to determine if they are right for your reader. Topics will change depending on the book being read.
