Are you ready to celebrate Girl Power? In this special class, students will celebrate Women's History Month, International Women's Day and the power of women in our global community. We will draw female figures with the spirit of Rosie the Riveter. Students of different drawing abilities are able to enjoy this class as the Rainbow Friends drawing class as we use mostly triangles, letter, lines and other basic shapes Rosie the Riveter has become a cultural icon of women empowerment. Students will strengthen their appreciation and understanding of contributions made by women around the world and the girl power symbol "Rosie the Riveter." By drawing Rainbow Friends, students will enhance their creativity and artistic skills.
For more than 15 years, I have traveled the world and learned about the beauty of our world. I have visited more than 30 countries and lived in five different countries. In addition, I have a BA in Sociology from UCLA in Los Angeles. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies from USC in Los Angeles. With a combination of real life experiences and cultural studies in college, I am eager to share the beauty of our diverse community through drawings of Rainbow Friends.
