Description
Class Experience
Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression and artistic decision making. Students will be introduced to drawing, painting, collage techniques. Students will will learn the order of the rainbow and different types of lines. Students will know art vocabulary terms multimedia, crayon resist, and color wheel. Learners will be exposed to the artwork of Alma Thomas
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!
Week 1: Crayons, watercolor paint, painting supplies (paint brush, paper towels, cup of water, etc.) Week 2: White paper, colored paper (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple), scissors, glue Week 3: White paper, drawing supplies of choice (crayons, colored pencils, or markers), scissors, glue, colored paper Week 4: White paper, colored paper (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple), scissors, glue Week 5: White paper, drawing supplies of choice (crayons, colored pencils, or markers) Week 6: White paper, colored paper (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple), scissors, glue Week 7: White paper, crayons, watercolor Week 8: White paper, drawing supplies of choice (crayons, colored pencils, or markers), scissors, glue, colored paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
If students are not comfortable using scissors, adult assistance will be needed.
