In this one time course, students will gain an introduction to nail art using household items (toothpick) to create their design and learn a technique for a smooth base coat of polish.
Class experience
Students are encouraged to have fun and enjoy the process in this art class! Students will be taught a technique to achieve a smooth coat of polish and will learn a few basic nail terminology words. Students will then use household items (toothpick) or a dotting tool to add design to their nails. This class is beginner friendly, and the goal of the class is to have fun while being creative and learning a few design techniques. We will complete the design on 4 nails (two on each hand) at...
Students will learn a technique to create a smooth coat of polish and a nail art technique to create the nail design shown. Students will be encouraged to be creative and most importantly, have fun!

There will not be homework, but a printable PDF practice sheet is provided for students to keep practicing after class.Assessments Offered

1 file available upon enrollment* 2-4 Colors of Nail Polish (a base color, 1-3 colors for the rainbow arches) * 2-3 toothpicks or a dotting tool * a small square of folded tin foil * something to protect work surface (even a paper towel works great!) * a baby wipe, paper towel, Qtip, etc for clean up if nail polish gets on skin around nails (optional, but helpful)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Because of the possible messy nature of nail polish, it is recommended for an adult to be somewhat near, especially with students that don't have a lot of experience painting nails.
An attached printable PDF practice worksheet will be provided to be printed if wanted.
