Description
Class Experience
In this one-time class, students will learn about density through a hands-on science experiment. Prior to the experiment, each learner will be encouraged to share a hypothesis of what might happen when they mix water, shaving cream and then add food coloring drops (the rain cloud in a cup). Students will learn about density and will see which substances are more and less dense when put together in their individual cups. Class Materials: Clear container, water, shaving cream, measuring cup and food coloring.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
