Ahoy mateys!! . . . . Get ready for an exciting multiplayer adventure at sea in, Raft!

Come aboard, ye sailors & join me in this thrilling weekly voyage!

The session will last 1 hour, but sometimes may over-run to allow for task completion.
_______________________________________________________________

During our ongoing weekly sessions, we will embark on an exciting journey through the game's storyline, starting from the very beginning and picking up each week where we left off.

Our goal will be to achieve 100% game completion, thoroughly researching and acquiring all of the items available in the game.

Additionally, we will upgrade and customise our raft to its fullest potential, ensuring an epic adventure as we progress through the game and ultimately conquer the entire storyline!
_______________________________________________________________

In this game, communication and teamwork are essential for survival and success!

Along the way, we will cultivate these essential social skills, building confidence in a supportive environment and encouraging players to take on important leading roles, such as organising supplies and food for the group, planning and building the raft, researching equipment, collecting materials, growing plants and trees, killing/catching animals, and deep sea diving for resources!

Students will develop vital skills such as effective communication, resource and time management, planning and constructing with in-game buildings and room layouts, teamwork, overcoming obstacles, a positive mindset, and a vision of the end goal and what is needed to always get there!

We will earn the rewarding feeling of working hard, unlocking more things and progressing through the game.

Prepare to raise the anchor and set sail on a legendary gaming adventure, making memories and new friends with the same interests!
_______________________________________________________________

I will create a friendly inclusive gaming session in a safe and trustworthy environment.
Students will feel a sense of belonging within our small team of 3 students and myself.

Mutual support will be paramount and everyone will emerge as a leader, relying on each other to survive!
I'll be playing more as a friend and teammate, than an adult teacher.

Other Details

Learning Needs
This class is inclusive for all and accommodates learners with special needs and attention requirements (SEN, ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism etc), while also being suitable for neurotypical students.
Parental Guidance
I cannot see that this game has an age rating, but for parental guidance, be advised that there is a shark that may be scary to some children, due to it chewing the raft we stand on. And also it can make you 'jump' if you fall in the water and the shark suddenly attacks and bites you.
Pre-Requisites
1. Own ‘Raft’. 2. A compatible device (PC only). 3. Headset, earbuds, or speakers for chat. 4. Microphone for chatting 5. Camera for identity verification. (a mobile phone works well with 3,4,5)

I specialize in hosting video game sessions that encourage critical thinking, leadership, and decision-making, offering an exciting way to boost confidence while having fun.

Coming from a large, diverse family has nurtured my empathy and understanding, especially with neurodiverse children and adults. My classes warmly welcome both neurodiverse (ADHD, Autism, Anxiety) and neurotypical children, ensuring an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone can participate and thrive.

Through gaming, students build essential skills like leadership, teamwork, resilience, and confidence. They enhance focus, attention, and cognitive flexibility while also improving tech literacy, problem-solving, and emotional regulation. My sessions encourage students to find balance with structured screen time, emphasizing the social and mental health benefits gaming can offer.

I strive to foster independence and self-motivation, helping students grow in areas like spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and strategic thinking. Additionally, gaming promotes cultural awareness and diversity, offering students a broader perspective, while providing a positive outlet for stress relief and relaxation.

With a focus on resilience, I encourage students to persevere and overcome obstacles, celebrating their successes and achievements when they reach them.

As someone who has loved gaming since the age of 9, I’m dedicated to inspiring the next generation of gamers.

Beyond gaming, I’m happy to share my knowledge in live streaming, YouTube content creation, video and image editing and other creative online pursuits. My goal is to help students overcome obstacles, persevere, and become more confident and empowered versions of themselves.

Join me on this exciting learning adventure, where education and fun come together!
