Students will learn the 6 syllable types: Closed, Final -le, Open, Vowel, Silent E, and R controlled. The class will have a powerpoint presentation, handouts, hand-motion memory techniques, and a review game. Students will have time to talk during class and ask questions as needed. Students need to know basic phonics. Basic spelling phonics are covered in my 2-week Spelling Rules: Regular Words class. Class Schedule: Day 1: Closed Syllables and Open Syllables Day 2: Vowel Syllables and R-Controlled Syllables Day 3: Silent E Syllables and Final -LE syllables Day 4: Review
