Description
Class Experience
Topics listed below are what I will be working on each week. Students are welcome to follow along with me or bring their own project to work on. I generally sew on a machine, but am also happy to demonstrate hand sewing as needed. As this is a social class, students can be working on different things! Each week, I will demonstrate a different type of block students can work on, and am happy for suggestions on what we can do next week! Each class will consist of me sketching out the block I...
Students will learn different tricks and tips for sewing and quilting. Students will learn to be precise in their work. Students will learn to give and receive constructive criticism. Students will learn various simple quilting blocks.
Be prepared for class with whatever tools and materials you will need.
Depending on size, patterns, etc., fabric needs may vary. Rotator blade Fabric scissors Ruler/square edge Cutting mat (optional) Pins Needles/threads (matching/coordinating colours or a beige) Sewing machine (optional) Purple elmers glue (optional)
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Sewing machines, rotary cutters, sewing scissors, etc., can be dangerous and may require parental supervision.
