In this one-time quilling class, students will make a beautiful handmade card, displaying the animal of the year and a lantern. Various quilling shapes will be taught. They will feel proud of their finished product! No prior quilling experience is needed. Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is celebrated each year in late January or early February. Come learn how to make quilling shapes in this very fun and relaxing art class! Learner Supply List: quilling paper or construction/copier paper in colors appropriate for the animal of the year liquid glue scissors quilling tool, pencil, or toothpick blank note card or cardstock, as the base If your learner has quilling tools, that is great, but it's not required for this class! If you do decide to order your learner a quilling tool set, I would like to suggest this one that I purchased from Amazon for around $20. https://a.co/d/bU2sHeE

Hello from the U.S.A.! Specializing in Quilling and Science classes, I offer a variety of one-time, multi-day, and ongoing classes. Graduating college with a degree in Early Childhood Education has allowed me to teach children, ages 4-12. My master's is in Counseling. I believe that the combination of my bachelor's and master's work, as well as my soft skills make me a patient, kind, and loving teacher.
The emotional well-being of students always comes first. I strive to give my learners an atmosphere where learning feels comfortable and never stressful. My experience as a mother of three has taught me much about how children learn best. I strive to provide exactly that perfect learning atmosphere in my online classes.
My strength areas are:
-Cross-Cultural Communication:
Having lived and traveled extensively abroad, I enjoy meeting and teaching students all over the world!
-S.T.E.A.M.:
I'm very passionate about S.T.E.A.M. education, especially Science and Art! These subjects are incorporated often into my classes.
-Scaffolding:
I constantly evaluate the progress of my students and adjust my teaching to meet their needs.
-Student Encouragement:
Celebrating wins with students is my delight! I want them to know that I am happy to help them learn and I want them to succeed!
My hobbies include kayaking, swimming, and quilling paper art. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family at Lake Hartwell, Georgia, U.S.A., where I live with my husband, three children, and our bordoodle Princess. I hope to teach your learner soon!
