Beginner Level
This is a one-time class where students will be taught how to use quilling shapes to make a pumpkin. The new quilling shape, that will be introduced in this class, is the crescent moon. If your learner is already enrolled in my ongoing Quilling Club, it will not be necessary to enroll in this class. Pumpkins will be one of our October Quilling Club projects. Learner Supply List: quilling paper or construction paper - orange and green liquid glue scissors pencil or quilling needle tool *Please watch this 3 minute video before your first quilling class with me. Thank you! https://youtu.be/WooUWTRBHxs If your learner has quilling tools, that is great, but it's not required for this class! If you do decide to order your learner a quilling tool set, I would like to suggest this one that I purchased from Amazon for around $20. https://a.co/d/iHdNetG

Parental Guidance
Scissors can be sharp. Also, if you choose to order quilling tools for your learner, please take note that they are sharp as well. Please keep a close eye on your child during this class. Some parental assistance may be required to help children with poor fine motor skills.
There is a YouTube video https://youtu.be/WooUWTRBHxs that you may watch with your child if you would like. It is a 3 minute video of me going over instructions about what can be expected in quilling class and how to prepare. I will not be showing the video in class. You do not need to have a YouTube account to be able to watch this video. Thank you!

Hello from the U.S.A.! Specializing in Quilling and Science classes, I offer a variety of one-time, multi-day, and ongoing classes. Graduating college with a degree in Early Childhood Education has allowed me to teach children, ages 4-12. My master's is in Counseling. I believe that the combination of my bachelor's and master's work, as well as my soft skills make me a patient, kind, and loving teacher.
The emotional well-being of students always comes first. I strive to give my learners an atmosphere where learning feels comfortable and never stressful. My experience as a mother of three has taught me much about how children learn best. I strive to provide exactly that perfect learning atmosphere in my online classes.
My strength areas are:
-Cross-Cultural Communication:
Having lived and traveled extensively abroad, I enjoy meeting and teaching students all over the world!
-S.T.E.A.M.:
I'm very passionate about S.T.E.A.M. education, especially Science and Art! These subjects are incorporated often into my classes.
-Scaffolding:
I constantly evaluate the progress of my students and adjust my teaching to meet their needs.
-Student Encouragement:
Celebrating wins with students is my delight! I want them to know that I am happy to help them learn and I want them to succeed!
My hobbies include kayaking, swimming, and quilling paper art. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family at Lake Hartwell, Georgia, U.S.A., where I live with my husband, three children, and our bordoodle Princess. I hope to teach your learner soon!
