In this one time class we will learn and utilize five tips for better time management. These include learning how to organize and prioritize tasks, how to break down tasks to make them more manageable and how to make sure we are making time for not only the things we have to get done but things we find fun as well. This class includes collaboration and skills that you can tangibly use as soon as you leave class. There will be a mix of lecture and class conversation. Great for students at the end of middle school or in high school *The time allotted for this class is based on full enrolment so if enrolment is lower class may end earlier* *Please see my teacher profile for all my class policies* I look forward to seeing you!
Learning Goals
Learners will leave knowing how to implement the following skills to help them with time management
-Using calendars-monthly, weekly and daily
-How to organize and prioritize tasks
-How to breakdown big tasks
-How to be realistic with their schedules and make sure there's room for things that need to get done as well as recreational activities

Hi there! My name is Amanda and I'm so excited to teach things I'm passionate about on Outschool. I am a High School Teacher and previous to that worked as an Educational Assistant and at a University in Student Services. My classes are geared towards high school students with a focus on academic and life skills, as well as social, emotional learning. I love to encourage collaboration and discussions in the classroom and want leaners to leave with tangible knowledge and skills they can use in their every day lives.
Class Policies:
1) I aim to end classes at their scheduled times. However, due to the nature of our active classes or in classes with lower enrollments we may run a few minutes over or under.
2) If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements, I will contact parents and learners before the scheduled start time to confirm whether or not they want to go forward with the class. Depending on the class I may teach the class unless the parent or learner requests a transfer to a class with higher enrollment.
3) Classes will begin at the scheduled time even if all learners are not in the classroom (unless there is a technical issue). I will not contact absent learners during class so I can focus my attention on the students that are present.
4) If no learners are present when the scheduled class begins, I will wait 10 minutes before exiting the classroom.
5) Refunds are limited and follow the Outschool refund policy.
6) For the safety of all learners recordings will not be shared but notes will be provided in the classroom after class
