US Grade 2 - 5
Students will learn about the life of Queen Elizabeth II, the Trooping of Colours, and the succession to the throne in this one-time class. I will show pictures of the Royal Family via PowerPoint, focusing on the members in line for royal leadership. Included in the PowerPoint will be 2 very brief videos (less than 2 minutes) so the learners can hear the Queen's voice. I will briefly discuss London and Parliament (where my daughter worked as a college intern!) as well as Tower Bridge, the London Eye, and other landmarks. Following the lesson, the students will create a drawing of Buckingham Palace using a step-by-step guided process. * IMPORTANT: Learners will need a piece of paper, pencil, black marker, and crayons/markers for this class

Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in Education from University of Minnesota
I became interested in Queen Elizabeth II when my daughter was working at Parliament in London and had the opportunity to attend Trooping of the Colours, which is the Queen's birthday parade. I am a teacher certified to teach elementary grades 1-6 and deaf/HH students pre-K-12. I worked as an educational interpreter for several years and as an elementary teacher for many years. My education and work history have provided the skills to teach American Sign Language to learners on Outschool.
