Quantum Physics for Kids: Electricity With Magnets?
Class experience
Please Note: This class is now offered as part of the Quantum Physics for Kids "Electromagnetism 1" course, which includes the following topics: Class 1, Magnetism & You Class 2, Electricity with Magnets Class 3, Photons & You Class 4, Solar Energy & Solar-Generated Electricity These 4 topics are also taught bundled together in the 4-week course called "Electromagnetism 1: Magnetism, Electricity, Photons and Solar Energy," linked...
Students will learn about: - Atoms and subatomic particles (protons, neutrons and electrons) - The discovery of electricity as a flow of electrical charge (via electrons) - A key method of electricity generation: magnetic induction. Even with the growth of solar-generated electricity, magnetic induction still provides 90% of electricity worldwide. - Various forms of magnetic induction electricity generation (such as coal, hydroelectric, nuclear and wind power), with an analysis of their respective strengths and weaknesses. - Analysis of "free electricity" generators
We're dedicated to introducing young students to the amazing world of quantum physics, technological innovation and design! We've been offering STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) classes and creating educational materials for students of all ages for over 15 years. We're excited to share this course content with more students through Outschool.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We're excited to support your child in exploring quantum physics, science and inventions! Our classes are designed to get kids excited about physics and its impact on our lives, while supporting students in developing critical thinking skills. Our...
