This class is for students who love to play games and would like to learn how to create them. The course uses GUI (graphical user interface) to make the games interactive and fun. Python is a great language to pick and is much in demand. Learn how to use the GUI libraries to create your own video game in Python. Students will code in an online editor and understand the basics of python and create 2 fun games using tkinter. Students should have knowledge of basic coding terms like variables , conditionals and loops. Day 1: Introduction to Online editor and the GUI library tkinter Day 2 : Learning about Buttons , Canvas, Entry, Frame , Label, Menu , Message and Text widgets. Day 3 and Day 4 : Creating the Colour Brain Game - using conditionals, set and random library Day 5 and Day 6 : Creating the Tic Tac Toe Game - Creating a game for 2 players using conditionals and buttons. This is a highly interactive class where students are required to participate in group discussions. The students will require to code on their computers and find the answers by running the code and sometimes even find the errors in the code. Teacher will ask the students to share their screen in case debugging / trouble shooting is needed. Parents please ensure that you have python installed in your system and follow the instruction in the classroom for installation process.

For learners below 13 years of age , please install VS code on the laptop : https://code.visualstudio.com/ , as Outschool does not allow Replit for young learners. . For kids over 13 years of age, we will be using an online editor where they need a free signup using their email id. The teacher will share her screen during the class.
