In this course we are going to cover the basics of Python each week and build a great foundation to be able to move onto doing bigger and better things with the language. We will have an intermediate class that is a perfect transition after this one to get the full overview of Python. This class is going to be a lot of fun while we get to build games and projects and not just stare and replicate some boring lines of code. We hope to see you in class! Week of April 10th : We will get familiar with the online web based IDE, and work on : In the Coding Jungle Week of April 17th. : We will work on : Be Curious and : Go on a Python Hunt Week of April 24th: We will work on : Catch the Bugs Week of May 1st: We will work on: Prepare for the Pet Monster Rescue Mission and : About the Pet Monster Rescue Mission Week of May 8th: We will work on: Be Logical – Organize Your Ideas and : Build Decision Making into the Code Week of May 15th: We will work on: About Strings, Integers, and Variables and : Loop the Questions to Try Again Week of May 22nd: We will work on Assignment 9: Get Loopy with While Loops and Assignment 10: Do I Need to Repeat Myself with For Loops? Week of May 29th: We will work on : Be Methodical – Form a Plan and : Guess a Number then Play Again Week of June 5th: We will work on : Improve the Game Design and : Provide Three Chances to Win Week of June 12th: We will work on : About Loops, Libraries, and Logic : Keep Score *We will add more games and projects as we go and will cycle back through if needed*
