Mastery Evaluation
I can provide feedback on weekly projects if submitted. I can also provide support after the class if the student needs extra time to finish their project.
Grading
Being a social club grades will not be assessed however I am happy to provide feedback on projects if submitted.

Welcome to Python Pals: Weekly Code & Chat Club! This fun, social coding club is perfect for students looking to improve their Python Coding skills while hanging out with friends. Each week we will dive into new, exciting coding challenges and projects that stand alone, so you can join any time without worrying about missing past sessions. We will start each week with a quick intro to the project and any concepts needed (with code samples), then you can jump in to the project alone or in teams… all while chatting and hanging out with other student excited about Python coding.

Expected coding projects/topics:
Week of January 6: Game Night - Rock, Paper, Scissors
Week of January 13: Text Adventure - Chose Your Own Path
Week of January 20: Secret Messages - Simple Ciphers
Week of January 27: Chatbot Fun
Week of February 3: Quiz Master - Design a quiz game
Week of February 10: Code Breaker - build a Number Guessing Game
Week of February 17: Magic 8 Ball or Fortune Teller
Week of February 24: Story time - generate random stories

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students will need access to something to run their Python code. Whatever they have used in previous classes is sufficient. I can also make recommendations.
Pre-Requisites
Students should have some proficiency and comfort with programming in Python. They should understand variables, if statements, loops, lists and dictionaries. We will cover any concepts as necessary.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
