Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner Level
Students will learn to code in the most versatile and loved programming language Python. They do not need to install python but would be coding in an online editor. 
During this course , students will learn the basics of python using turtle graphics. 
Day 1 : Learning how to work on the online editor and the basic python codes to create a turtle and make it move. Learners will work on screen set up and axis co-ordinates to be able to move their turtle. 
Day 2 : Learning directions and making a simple house : Using turtle graphics , learners will create a simple house as an end project.  
Day 3 and day 4 : Learners will use multiple colours in the project and shapes and learn how to create filled shapes using python turtle. They will learn functions like pun up , pen down and pen size and pen colour. 
Day 5 and day 6 : Circles and phases of the moon : Students will learn how to create circles and as a final project will create a crescent moon.
Day 7 and Day 8 :Loops and conditionals : Students will learn how to apply loops and conditionals to create some fun images and patterns like a star and a circular flower etc. 
Day 9 and Day 10 : As a final project  students will learn on how to implement all the functions to create multiple snowflakes if different pattern and size on the screen.

This is a highly interactive class where students will learn the fundamentals of python coding in a fun way by graphics . Colourful output on the screen helps them learn the concept faster and debug quicker. .
