Welcome to the class: Pyramids, Pharaohs, Mummies...Oh My! In this ongoing class students will learn all about the history of Ancient Egypt. Each 35 minute class will be jam-packed with fun and interesting facts about the Egyptian people, their culture and the cities that they once lived in. No prior Egyptian knowledge needed and you can join the class at anytime. My classes are high energy. I enjoy engaging each learner during class, either by asking questions or asking learner's opinions about the subject matter. Most importantly, I want each learner to have fun while they learn. I present using a slide show. I like to use pictures, maps, short video clips within the slide show. During some classes there will be discussions of war, fighting, death and mummies. Pictures will be age appropriate. If you have a concern please feel free to contact me. Each week there will be a handout corresponding with that weeks subject. These may be coloring sheets, a game, fun fact sheet, or an art activity. Each activity will be posted in the classroom page, as well as any supplies that are needed prior to class. I prefer to leave learners unmuted, but as an Outschool parent myself, I understand that there are instances where learners need to be muted due to background noise that cannot be prevented. Parents, please feel free to mute your learners at your discretion. As the teacher, there are also instances where I will need to utilize the mute function. If there is background noise that may be distracting to other learners enrolled in the class, I will advise the student that they are being muted to limit the background noise. RECORDINGS: Recordings are not automatically shown in the classroom. I like to create a safe, open space for students to be themselves and want them to be as interactive as possible. If you would like access to the class recording or have missed class, feel free to message me so I can make it available to you. ******************************************
