Class experience
In this class, we will work together to learn the steps needed to create each portion of our adorable miniature cat and hamburger. Different camera views will be used to show each step of the way. We will condition, cut, roll and form our pieces. Then we will assemble our parts and get them prepared to be baked after class is over. Polymer Bake Clay (any brand you prefer. I like to use Sculpey III) - grey, brown, tan, yellow, green, red, black Basic Sculpting tools, smoothing tool, cutting tool, small dotting tool or toothpick for eye sockets A non stick surface to work on A toothpick or jewelry/sculpting wire to hold hamburger tower together Optional: Soft Pastels (also called chalk pastels) for shading unbaked clay for a realistic food look...a toothpick and Q-tip for application Optional: Clear Polyurethane or glaze for after baking Black fine point Sharpie (permanent marker) for facial details
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
**Polymer clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F, depending on your brand of clay). You will bake after class. Parental help is necessary.
