In this class, students will hear different Paw Patrol stories. Students will use prior knowledge of the characters to help make predictions before the story and during the story to enhance their reading experience. Students will answer questions before, during, and after the story to build listening comprehension as they participate in whole group and individual questioning. Students will also participate in an activity after the story. This will be a FUN and interactive way to build reading and listening skills. Day 1- Story- "Chase's Space Case" Activity make an alien Day 2- Story-"Pup, Pup, Away" Activity- "Move Like a Pup" game and make a pup Day 3- Story- "Pit Crew" - Activity- paper plate race car

Supply List
Day 1- Create an alien- play-doh, pipe cleaners, beads, googly eyes, beans, etc ( really anything that they can push into the play-doh) Day 2- Origami Pup- paper, scissors, and crayons or markers Day 3-Paper plate racecar- paper plate, scissors, white paper, pencil, crayons/markers, stickers (to decorate if desired)

I have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and my Master's degree in Library Media Science. I have 17 years of experience teaching in public, private school, and online setting. I have taught kindergarten, first, and third grades, as well as experience, teaching ESL and 4 years as a Library Media Specialist. I currently homeschool my 2 children and I love meeting and teaching new students with Outschool.
Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, camping and enjoying the outdoors I also enjoy reading and crafting, and almost any DIY project. Making learning fun and enjoyable for all is one of my favorite things about teaching. I cannot wait to share my love of learning with your child.
