My goal as an educator is to present information in an exciting and novel way so that it's memorable to your learner. I also love to create social moments throughout the lesson that give the students a chance to discuss what they have been learning and relate to the information as well as to each other. Students will have several opportunities throughout the class to stop and discuss what they think about the subject. These are always great little "brain breaks" for them and add to the engagement within the class.
I've been interested in arts and crafts ever since elementary school. I was fortunate enough to work at a daycare center and led our little learners there on lots of fun an exciting art projects. I also worked for a surfboard shaper making custom surfboards. I gained a lot of experience at these jobs and went on to write a Philosophy paper that was published by my university in which I examined the distinction and parameters between arts and crafts.
All printouts will be provided prior to class and students are then encouraged to spend as much time as they like on them after class but this is in no way mandatory. I will provide other activities for any student who is without the printouts and ensure they don't feel left out in any way.
Worksheets will be provided for parents to print out prior to class and please also prepare a pencil and crayons as well. I will provide other activities for any student who is without a worksheet and ensure they don't feel left out in any way.
A certificate of completion will be provided for all students who attend and try their best.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
