Description
Class Experience
My goal as an educator is to present information in an exciting and novel way so that it's memorable to your child. I also love to create social moments throughout the lesson that give the students a chance to discuss what they have been learning and relate to the information as well as to each other. In this class specifically, we'll focus on the habitats and behavioral characteristics of lions and also compare them to ourselves. Students will have several opportunities throughout the class to stop and discuss ways they are similar or different to lions and also share what they think about the subject. These are always great little "brain breaks" for the kids and add to the engagement within the class.
A worksheet will be provided to print out prior to class and we will spend 4-5 minutes on it. Students are then encouraged to spend as much time as they like on them after class but this is in no way mandatory. I will provide other activities for any student who is without a worksheet and ensure they don't feel left out in any way.
A worksheet will be provided for parents to print out prior to class and please prepare a pencil and crayons as well. I will provide other activities for any student who is without a worksheet and ensure they don't feel left out in any way.
A certificate of completion will be provided for all students who attend and try their best.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Learners will have the opportunity to sing and dance along with the animals which is great fun, but to do so safely it is recommended they have parental guidance, a small open space in front of their screen, proper footwear, and adequate stretching beforehand if needed.
