Thankfully, Lynne Truss is here to enlighten us with her New York Times Bestseller: Eats, Shoots & Leaves. Often punctuation is regarded as a dry subject, a subject that we begrudgingly participate in. Lynne Truss makes...
Students will learn how to use apostrophes, commas, colons, semicolons, exclamation points, question marks, italics, quotation marks, dashes, brackets, parenthesis, ellipsis, and hyphens. Overall, students will have a better understanding on how to create comprehensible writing.
I enjoy teaching with energy and a sense of humor. I teach essay writing and literature classes on Outschool. Before that, I spent some time as a snowboarding instructor at Park City Mountain Resort. I get a kick out of teaching and I love my students. I work my tail off to help them achieve their goal, whether it is writing an essay, studying literature, or snowboarding. I studied English at Brigham Young University and received my Bachelors of Arts in April 2011. While studying, I spent a semester in Europe, surveying art at The British Museum, The Louvre, The Musee D'Orsay and many other world renowned museums. I love the humanities, especially the English language!
