Class Experience
Just in time for fall, paint these sweet pumpkins. Students will learn to control the water to paint mix to achieve multiple colors next to each other. We will discuss what colors to begin a watercolor with, and why shading and hi-lighting are such an important part of a painting. We will have some basic colors to use and mixing our own colors will be encouraged. A little color theory is always thrown into the lesson. Learn to create pumpkins by blending colors and edges with watercolors.
I have been painting, and teaching art for over twenty years and continue to be inspired by my students' skill and creativity.
Supply List 8 inch by 10 inch watercolor paper, bowl or water, paper towels, number 12 round brush that comes to a point, 1/2 inch square, flat top brush palette paper (or a watercolor tray or foam plate), Watercolor paint. A set is easy to find a craft stores. We will use white, yellow, orange, alizarin crimson(red), purple, blue, green, brown and black.
I will write a brief note to the student after class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
