Description

Class Experience

Students will improve their observation skills as they make a drawing of a slice of pumpkin pie.
They will understand how the elements of art come together to render the drawings realistic.
They will explore techniques of blending, layering and building up the colors of the oil pastels.
Students will be able to complete the drawing in the class session while working at their own pace. In the event that they need more time to add details and embellish, they can do so after class.
Drawing paper or construction paper in a light color (pink, light blue, light green, yellow) Oil pastel set Paper towels to clean fingers
Informal assessment and observation will be used throughout the class session.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
