Description
Class Experience
In this class, we will use all of our senses to investigate the inside and outside of a pumpkin. We will explore with this hands on experiment, discussing what we see, feel, smell, hear, and possibly even taste as we go. We will start class by having a discussion, working together as a group, to describe what the pumpkin looks like. Then we will move to the inside and describe what we see. Students will improve on their critical thinking and problem solving skills. They will learn all about a pumpkin, both inside and out, while using all of their senses to do so.
Supplies Needed: *A Pumpkin - Any size *A bowl to put guts in if your child chooses to take them out and investigate ***An adult will need to cut the top from the pumpkin before class. It can be sat back on the pumpkin during class, and the child can remove it when it is time to explore the inside. This way it is already prepped and ready to go.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
