During this course learners will explore a fall favorite, pumpkins! I will have slides/posters to provide visuals for students and optional printable sheets for more engagement during the lesson and continued learning after the session is over. Students will create their own pumpkin glyph to help us get to know each other. We will use our five senses to describe the pumpkin's attributes and to investigate a real pumpkin after identifying the parts of a pumpkin and discussing the pumpkin life...
I am a K-5 certified teacher, my last three years in a self-contained kindergarten classroom has taught me what activities and topics students enjoy and how to present material in a fun and engaging way.
4 files available upon enrollmentLearners will need access to a pencil, crayons, and scissors. You may want to have your own pumpkin (big or small) to make observations but it is not necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please be aware that some of the printable resources will require scissors.
