Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello my name is Rachel London. I believe learning should be engaging for all students. I am excited for the opportunity to educate in a fun, engaging, and exciting environment. Due to my expertise and experience I’m very passionate about teaching social, emotional, and academic topics to the younger demographic.
My many years of preschool and pre-kindergarten teaching have prepared me to help students excel in these areas. Some social topics I’m excited to teach are table manners, respecting others things, sharing, taking turns, and respecting differences. Emotional topics I’m looking forward to teaching include recognizing and labeling emotions and how to calm down. Academically I’m passionate about teaching simple math skills, such as reading a calendar, patterns, understanding clocks, counting, adding, and subtracting. Literary growth is so important in the early stage of learning, I’m excited to teach letters, phonics, consonant vowel consonant words, sight words, and rhyming words.
I have completed and received an Associates of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Professional Nanny Degree. I’ve had the opportunity to educate and mentor children and youth for the last 14 years. During that time I’ve had the opportunity to hold many positions including elementary school teacher's aide, summer camp counselor, youth mentor, professional nanny, preschool, and pre-kindergarten teacher. The last three years I have been homeschooling my children and teaching online.
I have three children Payton age 7, Rowan age 4, and Drake age 3. They keep my life exciting and active. We love to travel and see different parts of the country. As a family we are renovating our home in preparation for sale so we can travel the country full-time as a family.
