Description
Class Experience
In this one-time class, we will be focusing on the Informative Speaking style of speech writing and presentation. Through a mix of slide and video examples, students will learn presentation techniques. Once a base understanding of Informative Speaking and has been established, the students will be given an opportunity to practice presenting a 1-minute speech related to Pokemon that has been prewritten by the instructor. In this introduction to Informative Speaking, students will learn the basics of preparation and presentation. Students will learn the importance of preparation and practice to help alleviate much of the fear associated with public speaking.
There is no required homework due, but I encourage the students to use the tips they learned in class to write their own 1-minute speech about their favorite Pokemon and present their speech to family or friends.
1 file available upon enrollmentA basic speech writing outline will be attached in the welcome message when you register for class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
