Students will improve in their ability and comfort in speaking in front of others in an engaging way.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English, and held a Professional Teaching Certificate in Florida to teach English in grades 6-12. For the past several years I have taught small group classes. Throughout my teaching career I have included public speaking as part of my curriculum.
Students will need pencil / pen and paper or notecards for each class. Students might occasionally need a household item for activities, but they will not need to gather anything before class begins. These items can easily be gathered from a student's desk or pocket (or anywhere nearby) when needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be informally assessed during class discussion and activities to ensure student understanding and so I, as the teacher, can adapt the class to student's needs. There is no formal assessment.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
