Class Experience

In this fun,engaging and interactive 4 week public speaking camp, your child will develop strong argumentative, persuasive and public speaking abilities. They will practice speaking impromptu i.e. how to think on their feet and also practice, writing and giving a well-thought out speech. 

The classes are a mix of seminar-style instruction, discussion, writing and public speaking

This class is taught in English.

Students learn valuable research, critical thinking and expository writing skills that will serve them well through school, college and their careers. They also learn to think on their feet and speak eloquently on the spur of the moments. Our topics range from pertinent global issues like poverty and climate change to ordinary everyday topics, giving students the chance to practice public speaking on a range of topics

I have been organizing and running public speaking camps at the schools I've taught at, and independently, for 13 years now. Excited to bring this awesome camp to Outschool!

No homework is assigned but students can continue to practice their topics outside of class time if they like.

I will share an informal assessment with each student. Student's will also complete a self-reflection

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
