  • Students will have a better understanding of the communication skills involved in the counseling profession and develop some skills in relation to it.
I have a BA in Psychology with a specialization in Child Development, Abnormal Child Psychology and Neuroplasiticity and hold a certification in Counseling and Executive Function Coaching.  
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Details: There will be weekly guided notes for the teaching videos. They will not be collected unless grade is desired by the parent. Students will show their diligence in learning the material in the weekly games. There will be a course project that students will present in the final week of the course. Students should be working on the project each week- which accounts for the extra time estimated for "homework" each week.

Details: There will be weekly quizzing in the weekly games. The students' scores will not be collected/reported unless grade is desired by the parent.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
We will be utilizing some Youtube videos and Gimkit and Quizalize for games. Neither game websites require an account or login. Students will be provided with code for joining the game.

This course does not constitute medical training.
