Homework
1-2 hours per week. There will be weekly guided notes for the teaching videos. They will not be collected unless grade is desired by the parent. Students will show their diligence in learning the material in the weekly games. There will be a course project that students will present in the final week of the course. Students should be working on the project each week- which accounts for the extra time estimated for "homework" each week.
Assessment
There will be weekly quizzing in the weekly games. The students' scores will not be collected/reported unless grade is desired by the parent.

Week 1-2
🗣️ Counseling Based Communication Skills
Student objectives:
• Understand  when and how to use different open questioning skills.
• Develop rapport building strategies.

Weeks 3-5
🕵️‍♂️ Master the Art of Reading People
Student objectives:
• Learn what non-verbal messages tell others.
• Understand how to read visual cues more effectively.
• Control their own body language to strengthen their communication with others.

Weeks 6-7
🦻 Active Listening
Student objectives:
• Identify ways to become a better listener.
• Use body language to reflect a positive listening attitude
• Create a listening mindset using framing, positive intent, and focus
• Identify common listening problems and solutions

Week 8
🚀 Project presentations

Every week, your child will dive into assigned readings, engaging videos with guided notes, hands-on activities, and work on an ongoing project. Weekly review games offer students the opportunity to reinforce their learning through engaging games like  fishing, climbing, farming or Blockerzz archery challenge.

Parental Guidance
We will be utilizing some Youtube videos and Gimkit and Quizalize for games. Neither game websites require an account or login. Students will be provided with code for joining the game. This course does not constitute medical training.
